The Gaza Humanitarian Fund (GHF) announced that 20 people were killed in a “tragic incident” near a food distribution center in Khan Younis, of whom 19 were trampled to death and one was stabbed in a “chaotic and dangerous surge, driven by agitators in the crowd.” According to the fund, “We have good reason to believe that elements within the crowd – armed and affiliated with Hamas – deliberately incited the riots. For the first time since operations began, GHF personnel identified several weapons in the crowd, one of which was confiscated. An American employee was also threatened with a firearm.”
