Police reported they arrested 32 people on suspicion of disturbing public order during “Day of Halt” protests across the country, calling for the return of hostages and an end to the war. The police added in their statement that “freedom of protest and expression is not the freedom to start fires, infringe on many people’s freedom of movement or disrupt public order. Israel Police will not allow public disturbances and will take a firm hand against those who break the law.”
