“This is very surreal for me and I feel like I’m the luckiest woman right now,” Gadot said, tearing up as she accepted the honor. “I’m just a girl from a town in Israel, and I could never have imagined such a moment.”
Fighting back emotion, Gadot reflected on the significance of the milestone: “To me, it’s more than any other award because we can share it with the world. I’m not taking this home, this is for everybody and I’m surrounded by such iconic names.”
She added, “The star will remind me that with hard work and passion and some faith, anything is possible. I didn’t reach this moment alone, I have so many incredible people to thank, who’ve lifted me up along the way.
She also took a moment to thank her fans, her husband Jaron, her family and her daughters—including her eldest, Alma, who celebrated her birthday that day. “I love you all, you are always in my heart,” she added in Hebrew.
Diesel opened the event, recalling the moment he knew she was perfect for the role of Gisele in the blockbuster franchise. “I looked at Gal and knew—she was the one,” Diesel said. “She flew to L.A. immediately, and the rest is history.”
As the Hollywood ceremony unfolded, a small pro-Palestinian protest took place nearby, drawing only a handful of demonstrators.
