President Isaac Herzog told incoming U.S. Ambassador Mike Huckabee: “Welcome home, dear brother of Israel.” In a statement by the two, Herzog addressed the Iranian nuclear threat, saying that “the regime in Tehran continues to spread an extremist vision of regional control and instability, while striving to obtain nuclear weapons and making open declarations of Israel’s destruction. We must take this threat seriously, and deal with it with determination, decisiveness, and strength.”
