Residents of Shuafat refugee camp in East Jerusalem claim that a woman who was shot last night in the camp and pronounced dead shortly after was shot by police at the entrance to her home. The woman was brought to the Shuafat checkpoint where medical teams pronounced her death. The police announced they “have opened an investigation into the circumstances of the incident,” and have not yet addressed the residents’ claims. Footage from the camp showed armed Border Police officers, but it has not yet been reported what operation they were conducting there.
