The IDF spokesperson has cleared for publication that seven soldiers were killed yesterday in an explosion of an armored personnel carrier in the city of Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip. The fallen soldiers are Lt. Matan Shai Yeshinovsky, 21, from Kfar Yona, a platoon commander in the 605 Combat Engineering Battalion, ‘Barak’ Brigade (188); Staff Sgt. Ronel Ben-Moshe, 20, from Rehovot, a fighter in the 605 Combat Engineering Battalion, ‘Barak’ Brigade (188); Staff Sgt. Niv Radia, 20, from Alikhin, a fighter in the 605 Combat Engineering Battalion, ‘Barak’ Brigade (188); Sgt. Ronen Shapiro, 19, from Mazkeret Batya, a fighter in the 605 Combat Engineering Battalion, ‘Barak’ Brigade (188); Sgt. Shahar Manoah, 21, from Ashkelon, a fighter in the 605 Combat Engineering Battalion, ‘Barak’ Brigade (188); Sgt. Maayan Baruch Perlstein, 20, from Ashhar, a fighter in the 605 Combat Engineering Battalion, ‘Barak’ Brigade (188); and another soldier whose name has not yet been cleared for publication.
