IDF Chief of Staff, Lieutenant General Eyal Zamir, conducted a field tour and situation assessment in the Gaza Strip with Southern Command commander Major General Yaniv Ashor and other senior commanders. According to him, “Iran suffered a heavy blow, and there is potential that the strike on Iran will advance our goals in Gaza. In the coming period, we will reach the lines we defined for the current phase within the framework of ‘Gideon’s Chariots,’ and from there, action options will develop that will be presented to the political leadership. We will continue to act resolutely to achieve both campaign objectives – the release of the hostages and the defeat of Hamas.”
