Lawmakers from Degel HaTorah faction have officially announced their resignation from the government, after it “repeatedly violated its commitments to ensure the status of yeshiva students dedicated to their Torah studies,” in their words. MK Moshe Gafni, Deputy Minister Uri Maklev, MK Yaakov Asher, MK Yitzhak Pindrus and MK Eliyahu Bruchi just announced their resignation from the coalition – and released a joint photo of them signing their resignation letters. Among other implications, this means MK Gafni will leave his position as chairman of the Finance Committee.
