The Kremlin confirmed that Russian President Vladimir Putin and U.S. President Donald Trump will meet in Alaska next Friday, August 15, after the American president announced it on his social media platform Truth Social. Senior Kremlin adviser Yuri Ushakov said that Moscow invited Trump to visit Russia following the upcoming summit. “The presidents will focus discussions on possibilities for achieving a long-term peaceful solution to the Ukrainian crisis,” Ushakov said. “Washington and Moscow will dedicate themselves to the most intensive active preparations regarding the practical and political aspects of the Alaska summit.”
