Former David District Commander recruited a policewoman with whom he had

The Police Internal Investigations Department has filed a serious indictment with the Jerusalem Magistrate’s Court against Chief Superintendent Avi Cohen, who previously served as the David District Commander, for breach of trust and obstruction of justice after maintaining a romantic relationship with a policewoman 34 years his junior, recruiting her under his command, granting her benefits and deleting correspondence between them to conceal the relationship. According to the indictment in the case exposed by ynet, Cohen and the policewoman developed a romantic relationship that continued after her release from the police force. Subsequently, Cohen worked to recruit her again and assigned her as his personal assistant – without reporting the conflict of interest in which he was involved.
