‘We don’t know when she died’

Parents of young girls who died in devastating flooding in Texas while staying at Camp Mystic have given emotional testimony about the impact of their loss.

Torrential rain hit Kerr County on 4 July, killing 27 girls when their cabins were inundated by floodwaters from the Guadalupe River.

Texas lawmakers are now considering changes to flood safety legislation for camps and campgrounds.

At least 121 people died in the disaster.
