Liverpool defeated Newcastle 3-2 in the second round of the English Premier League. The Reds were already leading 2-0, and despite Newcastle receiving a red card at the end of the first half, the black and whites managed to equalize in the 88th minute. However, 16-year-old Rio Ngumoha, who came on as a substitute in the 96th minute, scored the winning goal four minutes later – giving Liverpool 3 points.
