The U.S. news website Politico reported that the position of the national security adviser is in jeopardy after it was revealed Monday night that he had mistakenly added a journalist to an encrypted Signal messaging group where senior Trump administration officials were discussing attacks against the Houthis in Yemen. White House sources told Politico that no final decision has been made regarding the future of National Security Adviser Mike Waltz, but President Donald Trump is expected to reach a decision within 48 hours. “It was reckless not to check who was in the group. It was reckless to have this conversation on Signal. You can’t act recklessly as a national security adviser,” one source said.
