Israeli ambassador to the US, Yechiel Leiter, has attacked independent Senator Bernie Sanders for initiating a vote to cut off US military aid to Israel, writing on X: “The vast majority of Democrats and Republicans alike are overwhelmingly committed to deepening the alliance between Israel and the United States. Shame on you, @SenSanders, for your callous attempts to drive a wedge between the United States and Israel, further emboldening the Hamas terrorists who continue to hold innocent hostages.”
