Shakma Bresler, one of the leaders of the anti-government protest movement, spoke at a demonstration in Rabin Square and addressed President Isaac Herzog: “Do not lend your hand to turning the State of Israel into a banana republic. World history and our own history teach us that extending a hand to those who want infinite power always invites another attack.” According to her, “If the prime minister who claimed ‘Hamas is an asset’ and is responsible for the October 7 failure fears judgment, he is welcome to take a plea deal, admit disgrace and leave politics.”
