United Torah Judaism Chairman Yitzhak Goldknopf has sent a letter to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, asking him to expand the framework being developed by the government to allow Hasidim to fly to Uman so that it also includes those flying to New York for Rosh Hashanah. “For them too, this is a sublime spiritual experience that has no substitute, and we must allow them the same right given to others.” According to him, “I am confident that you will know how to provide the appropriate response, so that other groups in the Haredi and Hasidic public can also stay in the presence of their rabbi during the holiday.”
