The High Court of Justice has issued an interim order against the dismissal of Attorney General Gali Baharav-Miara, freezing the move. Supreme Court Deputy Chief Justice Noam Sohlberg wrote that “the government’s decision to dismiss the Attorney General will not take effect, with all that implies, until another decision is made.” He added: “This includes no changes during this period to the powers of the Attorney General; the working arrangements between her and the government; the normative status of legal opinions from the legal advisory service and decisions of prosecution authorities; and no replacement or acting appointment will be announced.”
