Extremist hill-top youth set fire to a vehicle belonging to a territorial defense soldier in the Benjamin Brigade around midnight. The soldier is a resident of the Tzur Harel outpost area. The apparent motive for the arson was that the soldier was perceived by them as someone who communicates with law enforcement authorities to ease tensions between the military and settlers. According to a security source, a few days ago, the territorial defense battalion commander visited the soldier’s home, where several young men also arrived and cursed at him, while the soldier defended the commander against these troublemakers. The source said these young men had already threatened the soldier then that “his time would come.”
