State Comptroller Matanyahu Englman and his team have recently approached Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, former IDF Chiefs of Staff Hertzi Halevi and Aviv Kochavi, former Shin Bet Director Ronen Bar and other senior officials to schedule meetings as part of the investigations into the October 7 failures. Topics under examination include the political-security cabinet’s conduct, economic warfare against terrorism, Gaza border protection, the sequence of events on the day of the massacre and intelligence work processes. Englman stated that “everyone is obligated to cooperate. Attacks from those seeking to evade scrutiny will not deter us.”
