The head of the UN World Food Program, Cindy McCain, said that “in Gaza, food has run out and time has run out.” On her X account, she wrote that “you cannot solve developing hunger through airdrops. The only way to provide them with food, in the required quantities, is by land. We cannot afford to wait – in Gaza, food has run out and time has run out.” The Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories (COGAT) responded to her post: “99% of all aid is transferred through land crossings. Your teams on the ground recognize the positive trend. They meet with us daily, while you have not met with us, despite our many offers.”
