Rescue workers in India announced that at least 30 bodies have been recovered from the building where the plane crashed near the airport in the city of Ahmedabad in western India. They added that more people are still trapped, without specifying their condition. A city resident who witnessed the crash described the scene to the PTI news agency as “chaos, smoke and destruction.” According to him, “I was at home and heard a huge noise. We went to see what happened, and saw bodies and debris scattered everywhere.”
