James McClean has signed a new contract to remain with Wrexham until the end of the 2026-27 season.
The 36-year-old has been a pivotal figure in the club’s rise to the Championship since joining from Wigan Athletic in 2023 – the versatile wing-back featuring 89 times in his two seasons at the Stok Cae Ras to date while playing a starring role in two promotions.
Discussing his new deal, the former Republic of Ireland international said: “I’m delighted to be extending my contract with the club.
“It’s no secret that I’ve enjoyed my time here and I want to help continue the success we’ve had so far.
“My family love it here, I love it here and we’re excited for the future.”
