Two sections of the M5 have been shut in the West Midlands in police incidents.
West Midlands Police said it had been closed southbound between junction three, for Quinton, and junction two for Oldbury after a body was found on the motorway just after 10:00 BST.
A separate crash nearby involving a motorcyclist has also seen the northbound carriageway close between junction one in West Bromwich and the M6 link.
National Highways said diversions were in place, but there were currently delays of 50 mins between junctions four and three.
