Last week, the American streaming network Peacock announced Rapaport’s casting for the fourth season of “The Traitors”, a hit reality show that recently received an Israeli adaptation. The new season, which includes Rapaport, is set to premiere early next year.
Following Peacock’s announcement, pro-Palestinian social media users flooded online platforms with criticism of Rapaport’s casting and called for a boycott of the show. “Casting Rapaport is a knowingly hostile move against fans and the rest of the cast,” one user wrote. “There are plenty of other shows to watch and that’s what I’ll be doing from now on.”
Another wrote, “Michael Rapaport is a loud Zionist. I won’t be watching this trash,” while a third added, “Rapaport is one of the most repulsive reality castings imaginable.”
In addition to Rapaport, several other American celebrities have been cast in the upcoming season of “The Traitors”, including comedian Ron Funches, Olympic figure skater Johnny Weir, actress and reality star Lisa Rinna and others.
