Getty ImagesNorthern Ireland has a new record maximum temperature for the August bank holiday.
Magilligan in County Londonderry has hit 24.5C, beating the previous high of 23.8C at Bannagher which is in the same county.
The actual maximum temperature will be available after 19:00 BST.
The former hurricane Erin has thrown up tropical air across the island of Ireland ahead of rain moving in from the Atlantic later on Monday.
A hurricane becomes a normal area of low pressure when it leaves tropical waters.
This area of low pressure will dominate our weather for the rest of the week bringing very changeable conditions and lower temperature, closer to the seasonal average.
The last times many places had any appreciable rain was on the 11 August, when 4-5mm was recorded in some areas.
