The state has submitted two requests to delay proceedings in two civil lawsuits filed by Shlomo Filber against the State of Israel and officials in the investigation and prosecution authorities. The prosecution announced this, stating there is concern that the lawsuits could disrupt the criminal proceedings against Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in the “Thousands Cases.” It was further reported that both requests note that Filber’s lawsuits were filed shortly before or after the state’s announcement that it is considering canceling the state witness agreement signed with him in the Thousands Cases, and that Filber claimed in one lawsuit that he suffered damages due to abusive treatment during his arrest proceedings.
