Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi wrote on his X account that his country “remains committed to the Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT)”. Araghchi added in the post that “Iran’s cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) will go through the ‘Supreme National Security Council’ – for clear security reasons”. Recently, the Iranian parliament passed a law prohibiting any cooperation between the country’s regime and the IAEA, and yesterday President Masoud Pezeshkian signed the law.
