Sun shines on Ladies’ Day at the Scottish Grand National

The sunshine lifted the mood for racegoers

The April sunshine brought out the well-dressed at Ayr Racecourse on day one of the Scottish Grand National Festival 2025.

Thousands arrived at the track in their Friday best for Ladies’ Day, kicking off the weekend’s racing in style.

Fashion was the big winner on the opening day.

The main event – the Scottish Grand National – is still to come on Saturday.
