Sami Abu Shehadeh, chairman of the Balad party, spoke in an interview with ynet studio about the possibility of uniting the Joint List of Arab parties ahead of the elections, saying that “we have been in talks several times.” According to him, “before today’s meeting, there were conversations that prepared the ground for the four of us to sit together and think about how to re-establish the Joint List that would be a strong parliamentary force for Palestinians in Israel.” Abu Shehadeh noted that the identity of the person who will head the list will be determined “after we agree on what unites us, what we are going forward with together. We will solve all the other issues.”
