The State Prosecution has submitted four indictments to the Lod District Court against 40 defendants – all from the Arab sector – for trafficking in weapons and drugs, as part of the “Noble Agent” case, which was revealed last month following the completion of a covert operation that lasted about a year and was led by a former criminal who served as an undercover agent operated by the Lahav 433 unit. The agent conducted over 30 transactions in which weapons and about 1.5 kg of cocaine were purchased, valued at hundreds of thousands of shekels. As a result of the information he provided, 50 suspects were arrested on suspicion of arms trafficking, drug trafficking, conspiracy to commit a crime and additional offenses.
