Google cloud services are experiencing widespread disruptions, along with outages in other cloud services like Amazon Web Services and Cloudflare. Google’s status page states that the issue is affecting 13 of its cloud services in the US, Europe and Asia. Well-known platforms such as GitHub, Mailchimp, Replit and Twitch also experienced interruptions. The website DownDetector reported more than 13,000 outages in Google Cloud, with hundreds of additional reports registered against Amazon. Cloudflare wrote that “a number of services are experiencing intermittent failures” and added that the investigation continues. The company’s shares fell by about 6% following these events.
